Stephen Dixon had a brutal response to Yvette Cooper‘s speech at the G7 international ministers’ assembly. Fronting Friday’s (March 27) instalment of GB News with Ellie Costello, Stephen announced the programme was cutting live to the Labour politician at the assembly.
“In the last few moments Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper has been speaking at the G7 in France,” he told viewers before the “breaking” banner appeared on screen. Cooper said: “We are gathering foreign ministers today at a time of huge global instability and insecurity. We will be discussing the conflict in the Middle East where we want to see a swift resolution that reaches regional stability and security and opens the Strait of Hormuz at a time when 130 countries have come together at the United Nations to condemn Iran’s egregious aggressions towards the Gulf states and also its attacks on international shipping.”
The politician went on: “I want to pay tribute to Ukraine‘s strength and resilience at a time where we have also seen Iran and Russia provide each other with capabilities and support. We will cover other issues including the humanitarian crisis in Sudan and critical mineral supplies which are so crucial to all of our economies.”
She emphasised the significance of the partnerships just like the G7 because it makes the UK stronger as nicely as its security and economic system.
Stephen appeared confused as the live broadcast ended, saying: “Yes, interesting. She didn’t say a great deal, I don’t think. She condemned Iran but not saying we’ll do anything to resolve the situation.”
