A German fan broke down in tears during an interview on NBC, while saying he has fallen in love with the United States while attending the World Cup.

Sebastian Krause traveled from Germany to the US to attend the soccer match – but based on what he had heard about the nation beforehand, he did not count on to have heat interactions with Americans during his go to.

During an interview with NBC 10 in Boston earlier this week, he shared his expertise of being in the nation.

“Sebastian Krause never imagined his trip to America would be so emotional,” reporter Oscar Margáin said while exhibiting footage of the German fan wiping his eyes, getting choked up and turning away from the digital camera after being requested about his journey in the US.

After lifting his soccer jersey to wipe his eyes again, Sebastian went on to describe his love for the nation.

“I fall in love with this country and this was so emotional, I even cried in the stadium,” he said, as the reporter explained that Sebastian’s expertise was a far cry from what he was anticipating.

“To be honest, I was a bit scared or had a fear to travel to the United States. News about shootings and criminals and that the country’s not safe,” the German man explained.

NBC then confirmed footage of Sebastian being pushed to his lodge by a group of Boston locals, as he exclaimed, “America is great.”

Oscar said Sebastian was more upset about having to go away the States than about Germay being eradicated from the World Cup.

The fan deliberate to spend time in Washington, D.C. over the Fourth of July weekend before returning to his home nation, the TV journalist added.

Sebastian concluded, “Americans are not rude, Germans are not rude, if we are together, we can achieve great things.”

It comes days after German supporters said they anticipate the United States will advance to at least the World Cup quarterfinals.

Well before their heartbreak to Paraguay, Express US Sports spoke with followers gathered exterior the Boston/Gillette Stadium to gauge their views on the USA as a aggressive pressure at the World Cup.

One supporter sporting a Germany jersey with Wirtz’s title told us, “I think the way to the semifinal is open for the US but all games will be tough. I don’t know but they have a lot of chances to do it.”

Another fan commented, “I am pretty sure they will get to the quarters, maybe the semis. But my favorites this year, Argentina is very strong, France is very strong, Spain is always strong.”

One fan having fun with the environment with his mates remarked, “I think they had not a bad group, but not an easy group. They lose against Turkey, it doesn’t matter, like us against Ecuador.

“They win against Paraguay 4-1, superb. We will see, they haven’t the strongest staff now, perhaps quarterfinal not more.”
