Giants Abdul Carter explains response to Jaxon…

Abdul Carter explained that he felt had to show the world that he opposed Jaxson Dart aligning himself with President Donald Trump by introducing him at a current New York event when the cross rusher posted a social media remark expressing his dissatisfaction with his quarterback’s techniques.

“Some things are bigger than football, and this is one of those things. Jaxson is one of our leaders. He’s the face of our franchise. He not only represents himself and what he does, but he represents all of us and that goes for anybody who wears a Giants uniform,” Carter said Friday afternoon. “If he chooses to align himself with a man like President Trump, it’s my duty based on what I imagine and what I stand on to not only show my teammates that I’m against that, but to show the world.

“That doesn’t mean that we have to spread hate. That doesn’t mean that me and Jaxson hate each other or we have beef. I sit next to Jaxson every day, every team meeting. We’re close, we talk. As long as we make sure we have the same goal as a team, and our goals align — which they do — I feel like that’s all that matter. I just want to move past this and, yeah, that’s it.”

Dart, who also spoke Friday, launched Trump at Rockland Community College in Suffern last week, which drew blowback from his fellow 2025 first-round decide.

“Thought this s–t was AI, what we doing man,” Carter posted in a since-deleted tweet.

Carter later in another since-deleted post said the 2 conversed.

“Me & JD6 are good!” he wrote. “We spoke earlier as Men. Yall can keep yall narratives.”

Dart addressed his Giants teammates Tuesday about his choice, although Carter didn’t attend due to household obligations associated to the Muslim vacation Eid al-Adha, sources told The Post’s Ryan Dunleavy.

Carter said he wasn’t trying for an apology.

“I don’t want him to say he’s sorry,” Carter said. “Stand on what you imagine in, but it may’t be a downside when I stand on what I imagine in, and that’s all that issues to me.

“As long as we have that understanding, it’s all good.”
