Temperatures there are still well into the 40s, and people will be jetting off for their summer sun,” she said.

“If you are heading off on your holidays, the heatwave persists through southern areas of the Mediterranean, northern areas of Africa. In Spain, temperatures are widely in the low 40s, with nighttime temperatures in the 20s, but in northern Africa, temperatures are in the mid to high 40s, and not below 30 degrees overnight.
