Golden Bachelor contestant Lily Reeves has an A-list circle of associates including Hollywood actor Tom Hanks, it has been revealed.

The 72-year-old girl, from Pacific Palisades in California, was one of 23 contestants eager to get to know retired NFL star Mel Owens.

However, she was eradicated as the new season opened with an episode that includes Mel’s apology for his earlier feedback that had been deemed ageist. 

The US Sun has now reported that Lily seems to be close to Hollywood A-listers including Tom and his spouse, Rita Wilson.

The publication uncovered pictures of the girl at occasions and on her Instagram with the actor and his household, including his son Chet Hanks.

Mel’s season on the ABC show began off with an apology for his earlier feedback that had been deemed ageist, but followers weren’t impressed.

The 66-year-old former skilled soccer participant, who was a linebacker for the Los Angeles Rams, landed in scorching water in June, after showing on a podcast and saying he most well-liked the ladies forged on his season to be between the ages of 45-60, and that he did not need girls with synthetic hips or wigs.

Fans called for his firing at the time, though ABC determined to see issues through with him.

Now, as the premiere episode aired, it began off with Mel on a seashore as he addressed the controversy and issued a formal apology – but many followers had been left less than impressed with the footage.

“‘It doesn’t matter how old you are,’ being the opening line of this season, is kinda hilarious when you think of it #GoldenBachelor,” one particular person wrote on X (previously Twitter).

“Not them starting with an apology to open the season. Lmfao, what a mess #Goldenbachelor,” another said.

“Starting off with an apology already #GoldenBachelor,” a third commented.

“So far, it just sounds like Mel is sorry he said those comments on a podcast, not that he is sorry he said it, period, because he doesn’t think like that any longer. He still seems shallow and I do not foresee this man finding a lasting connection. #GoldenBachelor,” a fourth shared.

The Golden Bachelor airs Wednesdays on ABC.
