Cara Banks, a host and reporter for the Golf Channel, has wrapped up her last show with the community as she prepares to transition to NBC Sports full-time.

After almost 11 years serving as one of the most recognizable and trusted voices on the Golf Channel, Banks is making a full-time change to NBC Sports. She joined the Golf Channel staff in 2015, relocating from England to the United States, to co-host Morning Drive. Banks beforehand changed Amanda Balionis for The Open Championship this 12 months. 

In addition to weekend golf coverage, Banks will likely be concerned in Premier League broadcasts, the Stifel Snow Show, and contribute to NBC’s Olympic coverage.

Before shifting to the U.S., Banks was half of Sky Sports in the UK, where she hosted Golfing World weekly, conducting participant interviews and characteristic segments for the show. In other news, Scottie Scheffler has equaled another Tiger Woods achievement following his six-win season.

Banks announced her transfer to the NBC workplace on her Instagram account, receiving a wave of help and appreciation. “End of an era,” Banks captioned her Instagram post.

“Today marked my last ever show on GolfChannel … After nearly 11 years of hosting studio golf shows, I will now be moving full time to NBC Sports where you’ll find me on weekend golf coverage, Premier League, Stifel Snow Show and NBC Olympics.

“I’ll never overlook the leap from England to internet hosting live studio reveals right here in the U.S. in 2015 and grateful to everybody who held my hand as I grew along the best way. Now we’re on to the next journey, see you Monday on NBC Sports Soccer!”.

This development arrives as Golf Channel gears up to separate from NBC Sports under Comcast’s Versant venture, slated to debut in 2026. Banks will additionally take on the primary interviewer role for the network while broadening her on-air footprint.

Banks became the recognizable face of Golf Central Live during her six-year tenure and is now set to expand her professional trajectory within NBC Sports.

Numerous supporters reacted to her Instagram announcement, including the wife of Ryder Cup competitor Sepp Straka.

“Congratulations Cara! Always such a pleasure for us to watch,” commented Paige Dean Straka.

Morgan Pressel, who captured a women’s major title at the 2007 Kraft Nabisco Championship and currently works as an NBC analyst, wrote, “Amazing, Cara! !”.
