With the rising recognition of true crime documentaries, it’s simple to neglect that many of us are taking pleasure, or at the very least wide-eyed curiosity, in the real-life story of somebody’s often-gruesome and brutal homicide. The circumstances are even worse when the case goes unsolved.
It’s an unlucky state of affairs that many are at present feeling in the wake of a grand jury just lately declining to file felony expenses in the mysterious death of 18-year-old Black teen Nolan Wells.
Sadly, particularly when it comes to the homicide of our Black brothers and sisters, many homicides go unsolved for so long that they finally do develop into cold circumstances. Many of us can keep in mind the talk surrounding the 2013 death of Kendrick Johnson, a 17-year-old Georgia high college pupil discovered lifeless in a rolled up gymnasium mattress.
