Greys Anatomy season 22 welcomes back familiar | TV Shows

Grey’s Anatomy has returned for its twenty second season, and ABC and Hulu viewers will likely be excited to study that some familiar faces are making a comeback.

This follows the heartbreak followers skilled during the premiere of the new season, which concluded with the tragic death of pediatric surgeon Monica Beltran (Natalie Morales).

However, there’s some good news on the horizon for Grey’s Anatomy lovers, as the latest promo for episode 4, titled ‘Goodbye Horses’, reveals actor Jesse Williams returning to his function as Dr. Jackson Avery.

In the teaser, Dr. Avery appears flustered as he’s welcomed by the whole Grey Sloan workers.

Williams initially exited the collection after the seventeenth season aired in 2020, but the previous common has since made three visitor appearances, with episode 4 of season 22 marking his fourth cameo in the show.

The last time viewers noticed Dr. Avery, he gave Meredith Grey (Ellen Pompeo) some critical advice about his fiery mom Catherine Fox (Debbie Allen), as properly as Grey’s unauthorized use of funds for her Alzheimer’s research.

Grey’s Anatomy showrunner Meg Marinis admitted to The Hollywood Reporter that they “didn’t want to kill anyone” at the start of season 21 but ultimately determined they “couldn’t save everybody”.

She added: “I wanted to see someone die selflessly saving someone’s else’s life, and she was not only was saving that little kid on the table, she was saving Jules.

“It actually speaks to the sort of character Monica was. It was very tough. It was very painful. I cried on that cellphone call. I like working with Natalie Morales.”

Grey’s Anatomy followers in the US can watch the show when it airs Thursdays at 10/9c on ABC. It will also be obtainable to stream on Hulu the next day.
