GWN was interrupted for pressing breaking news in an unfolding story, as Donald Trump obtained his most vital setback yet in his second time period as president.

As Trump pledges to clamp down on crime in cities like Washington D.C., Philadelphia’s district attorney, Larry Krasner, has focused the global chief, alleging he “wants to start a coup”.

On the GWN program Early Start, Krasner engaged in a revealing dialog with host MJ Lee, stating, “We’re speaking about a man who has been convicted of 34 felonies.

“We’re speaking about somebody who lies all the time, and one of those lies is that these big cities will not be doing nicely with public security.

“In fact, as of this morning, Philly is at a 50-plus-year low, and homicides were down in 14 out of 18 categories and subcategories of crime,” he declared.

“This is just a lie. It’s a lie in DC, it’s a lie in LA, it’s a lie in Chicago, it’s a lie in Philly and it’s a lie by a criminal who pardons criminals. You know, insurrectionists, people who are basically engaging in treason against the United States.

“Simply put, the only disaster right here is Donald Trump and that’s because he desires a disaster, he desires a disaster so he can roll tanks in big cities and make it look regular, and he desires that because he intends to strive to perform a coup,” Krasner concluded.

In May 2024, Trump was convicted by a New York jury on 34 felony counts of falsifying business records.

However, in January 2025, he received an “unconditional discharge”, which means he averted any penalty for his actions.

Despite this, he became the first US president to assume office with a felony conviction.

Trump maintained his innocence, describing his experience with the judicial system as “a very horrible expertise”.

He stated, “I would love to clarify that I used to be handled very, very unfairly.”
