Hennepin County DA Issues Arrest Warrant for ICE

Boy, it’s going to be fascinating to see how this one performs out. Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY), House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (NY-08), California Gov. Newsom, and their ilk have been demonizing Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) for months on end, calling them the Gestapo and other incendiary names. 

On Tuesday, meanwhile, we introduced you the outlandish story of California gubernatorial candidate Tom Steyer’s calling for open warfare on the federal law enforcement company. The man has seemingly misplaced his marbles.

But Hennepin County District Attorney Mary Moriarty just upped the stakes on Thursday by charging an ICE agent — 35-year-old Gregory Donnell Morgan Jr. — with two felony counts of second-degree assault for actions he dedicated… while on obligation.

Moriarty, the first LGBTQ individual to fill the position, a fact that the media continually reminds us of as if that makes any distinction to her law enforcement talents, delivered a stern press convention where she said, “There is now a warrant for Mr. Morgan’s arrest, which allows law enforcement to arrest him anywhere in the country.”

Watch as she actually snarls when she spits out the phrase “ICE.” (Note, the tweet says it was two brokers charged, but it’s now been confirmed that it’s only one):

Minnesota actually desires to go to warfare with the federal authorities under President Trump. Bring it.

The correct federal response wants to occur proper NOW. The DOJ under @AGTtactical must immediately transfer to quash these unconstitutional warrants, open an investigation into Moriarity for obstruction of federal law enforcement, and make it crystal clear that no state or local prosecutor will get to order the arrest of federal brokers doing their job. Complete madness.

More Minnesota Madness: Left-Wing Prosecutor Wants to Know This About You Before Negotiating Deal

Here’s the extraordinarily short model of what went down: two brokers had been driving on the shoulder of a Minneapolis freeway in an unmarked SUV at high pace in February. A driver apparently didn’t like what they had been doing, so he swerved to partially cut them off. 

The angered brokers then pulled up alongside the other vehicle, where Morgan allegedly pointed his gun at the occupants (there was a lady in the passenger seat). The brokers said later that they’d rolled down their window and yelled, “Police!”

The pair in the car, in flip, took a image of his license plate, called 911, and local authorities later discovered and questioned the brokers in a parking zone. They said they assumed they had been being harassed because they had been ICE, and that had been a daily incidence for them.

Interestingly, DA Moriarity thought it was humorous that the people cut off the brokers. “Like some Minnesotans, he’s ticked off about this,” she said about the motive force. “It’s one lane, right? So he moves over a little bit to impede. Classic Minnesotan.”

Funny ha ha, virtually inflicting a major accident. Now that’s comedy, of us.

Remember, this is the same lady who hasn’t discovered time to file costs against the person who assaulted journalist/TPUSA contributor Savannah Hernandez while she was overlaying an anti-ICE protest in Minneapolis on Sunday. It’s on tape, Mary:

The legal points listed here are difficult (supremacy clause, anybody?), but I’ll go away that to our attorneys to dissect. If Morgan is arrested, however, tensions are going to ratchet up even additional. 

Minneapolis just retains the loopy coming.
