Hes Not Going to Like These Latest Poll Results

How long has California Gov. Gavin Newsom been operating for president without formally declaring? As I wrote earlier, it seems like eternally, and there are still two years to go. 

I believe he thought if he put himself on the market early, he would have the Democratic base flocking to him. But that could have been counterproductive; instead of focusing on the job he has now, he appeared to be pandering all over the place for 2028. 

If the latest polling is any indication, that could have backfired on him.

Former Vice President Kamala Harris has a vital benefit over Newsom and the remainder of the sector by snug margins, in the most current 14 major polls, suggesting she has the early benefit in a still-fluid race.

A ballot by Echelon Insights from July 9 to 13 exhibits Harris with a 7 proportion level lead forward of Newsom. A Quantus Insights ballot from July 3 to 7 has Harris 18 factors forward, with 35% of the vote share.

Newsom has persistently ranked behind Harris at between 15 and 20 %. So a lot for all his pandering. 

As we reported earlier, half of the issue is, in the phrases of Joe Rogan, Newsom is like a “cardboard cutout” of a individual. He does not come across as genuine; he acts like everybody’s stereotype of a used car salesman. Kamala could also be vacuous, but Newsom is slimy and vacuous. Hence, the “Gov. Hair Gel” nickname. 

Then, too, he cannot precisely level to great accomplishments while being the governor of California. Indeed, all the things appears to have gotten worse since he is been in charge. 

It’s not superb to burn bridges with voters and podcasters as Newsom did by insulting Joe Rogan, with the highly effective platform that Rogan has. He called Rogan a “chicken” for not having him on his podcast, and was clearly jealous that Vice President JD Vance was invited on the show. Rogan will sit down with nearly anybody, so it takes real loser expertise to blow the chance as badly as Newsom has blown it.

Looks just like the more people have seen of Newsom, the more they’ve determined they do not need him for that job. 

Another ballot does not have it trying good for either one of them, even inserting Democrat Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (NY-14) forward.

All those selections are horrible, and I’m particularly amused by how Democrat Rep. Ro Khanna (CA-17), another man making noises about 2028 and embarrassing himself is at 0 % in that ballot. 

I do not suppose either Kamala Harris or Gavin Newsom would fare effectively in a debate with either Vice President JD Vance or Secretary of State Marco Rubio.  The Democratic bench is trying decidedly missing in anybody with any real presence. 

That may change in another 12 months or so (although I doubt it), but proper now it leaves the Democrats swimming in a sea of mediocrity, which is probably going good for the Republicans.
