Homer Gere says his outlandish intercourse scene with Sydney Sweeney in “Euphoria” was “really good practice” for his latest position in “The Shards.”
Before his starring position in Ryan Murphy’s new sequence, Gere had a small position in the third and closing season of “Euphoria” as an actor who Sweeney’s character seduced with an excessive amount of exuberance.
The scene was “really fun to shoot with Sydney. And it was wild. It’s a funny scene,” Gere — who is the son of Richard Gere and Carey Lowell — completely told The Post in a July 28 interview.
In “The Shards,” Homer’s character, Robert Mallory, has a few scenes where he has to enthusiastically dance in entrance of a crowd.

That “Euphoria” intercourse scene,“did prepare me, a little bit – for doing some of the dancing stuff [in ‘The Shards’] and being pretty out-there,” Homer, 26, famous.
Premiering Aug. 5 on FX and Hulu, “The Shards” is a teen thriller set in the ‘80s, created by Ryan Murphy and “American Psycho” author Bret Easton Ellis.
Based on Ellis’ novel of the same identify, “The Shards” follows Bret (Igby Rigney) – a fictionalized model of Ellis – through his closing 12 months at an exclusive California high college, as his rich classmates celebration, have intercourse, do medicine, and get slain by a serial killer.
Bret, who is secretly attracted to males, is fascinated by the mysterious new scholar, Robert, but also suspects that he could be the killer.

Similar to his position in “Euphoria,” Homer said that “The Shards” has “a lot of moments where you just kind of go outside of your body, and you’re doing something that’s really fun and crazy. You just give yourself to it,” he said.
Bret and Robert’s good friend group also consists of celebration lady Debbie (Hayes Warner), jock Thom (Graham Campbell), and widespread lady Susan (Kaia Gerber – whose mom, Cindy Crawford, was married to Richard Gere from 1991 to 1995).
Homer told The Post that his father gave him some key advice, to watch the 1977 film “Looking for Mr. Goodbar,” which Richard was in with Diane Keaton.
The movie, “is about a kind of a guy where you can’t tell if he’s the good guy, or the bad guy. It’s a great movie,” said Homer.

In the show, as their high college college students react to Robert becoming a member of their ranks, Bret has his own id disaster.
In “The Shards,” Bret publicly dates Debbie – and tries to persuade himself he likes her. Secretly, however, he has flings with male classmates.
Rigby explained that he and Murphy mentioned “making sure that there were moments of intimacy between Debbie and Bret, that made the relationship make sense.”
His personal flings with male classmates had been “the opportunity to show where Bret’s heart lay,” Rigby told The Post.
“And get to play a different side of him than he gets to be around the rest of the [friend] group.”

The show is Warner’s debut and Evan Rachel Wood performs her on-screen mom.
Warner told The Post that, because Wood began her profession as a baby actress — in motion pictures like “Practical Magic” and “Thirteen” — it “helped” to have “someone that has grown up on a set, and knows how to handle it, and how to carry yourself so beautifully. [Wood] is such an iconic person.”
“The Shards” premieres Aug. 5 on FX and Hulu.
