Currently on its fourth series, Industry follows the lives of a group of graduate bankers at the firm Pierpoint, which is based in London.

Granted, it does not sound the most thrilling, but every episode options so a lot scandal, backstabbing and nail-biting stress that I discover myself questioning if this is what life in finance is definitely like.

Other members of the forged embody Harper’s boss Eric Tao, portrayed by Ken Leung, with whom she has a weird relationship proper from the start.

They have a lot in common – Eric also makes terrible choices at work and with regard to his household. And Harry Lawtey, who performs working-class graduate Robert Spearing, is also glorious.

He’s just making an attempt to escape from his household’s past and match into his new life, but it is not straightforward to run from who you once had been.

The first couple of seasons are centered on the graduates’ lives at Pierpoint, but as it progresses, new storylines emerge when the characters type new connections and unfold their wings exterior of the company.

I suppose one of the most attention-grabbing issues about this TV show is how uniquely flawed each of the characters is.

Each time I start to grow fond of one of them, they do one thing so unspeakable or bizarre that it is back to the drafting board. But you possibly can’t deny that it makes for very entertaining viewing.

Also, do not be put off by the fixed banking chat. You do not need to be fluent in finance to get pleasure from this show – in fact, if something, it is made me even more in what actually goes on in those Canary Wharf buildings. I still do not know what a short is, and in all probability never will, but that does not actually matter.

If you are a fan of Skins or Succession, then I suppose you will actually get pleasure from Industry. Each episode is around the hour-long mark, with eight in each season, so you do not have to spend weeks and weeks bingeing it non-stop to catch up.

I suppose that’s what places me off when it comes to exhibits like Game of Thrones – it is too big of a dedication now.

But Industry is sweet and manageable, and when each new episode drops on a Monday on iPlayer, I discover myself so excited to sit down after dinner and watch it. Give it a watch, and you will not be upset.
