Ruby Franke’s kids and estranged husband are “happy and healthy” ahead of the release of Hulu’s docuseries Devil in the Family.

Along with her accomplice Jodi Hildebrandt, Ruby Franke was arrested in August of 2023 for child abuse, which she inflicted on her six children.

Before she was caught, she ran a YouTube channel named 8 Passengers, which she used to chronicle the life of her Mormon family of eight in Utah.

She eventually shut down the page separated from her family and moved into her life coach Hildebrandt’s mansion, where she inflicted horrific abuse on two of her children.

She wasn’t arrested until her youngest son, Russell, escaped from Hildebrandt’s home and contacted the authorities. He was found malnourished with duct tape on his ankles.

The children’s father is currently focused on healing his children.

While speaking to Today, his attorney Randy Kester said he is “making an effort to rebuild and bridge these relationships rather than sling mud and point fingers.”

Kevin is trying to gain custody of his four underage children. In February of 2024, he filed for guardianship of his then-16-year-old daughter Abby.

The eldest daughter Shari has been the only one to speak out on the interactions with her mother. She released a memoir earlier this year called The House of My Mother: A Daughter’s Quest for Freedom.

Her father and her brother Chad have joined in on her outspokenness and shared their untold story with Hulu. It will be revealed in the upcoming docuseries Devil in the Family, which releases on February 27.
