Iranian Armed Forces say they’ll soon reply to U.S. assaults on ships in the Strait of Hormuz as the Trump administration’s blockade continues.

Local Iranian media reported on the attainable retaliation, citing the spokesman for the Central Headquarters of the Prophet of the Seal.

“The aggressor United States, in violation of the ceasefire and through piracy, attacked one of Iran’s commercial ships in the waters of the Sea of Oman by firing on it and disabling its navigation system by boarding it with a number of its terrorist marines,” the spokesman said, according to Tasnim News Agency, a news outlet related with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.

“We warn that the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran will soon reply and retaliate for this armed piracy by the U.S. navy,” the spokesperson added.

The threats got here just moments after President Trump said it had taken custody of an Iranian cargo ship in a social media post on Sunday.

“Today, an Iranian-flagged cargo ship named TOUSKA, nearly 900 feet long and weighing almost as much as an aircraft carrier, tried to get past our Naval Blockade, and it did not go well for them. The U.S. Navy Guided Missile Destroyer USS SPRUANCE intercepted the TOUSKA in the Gulf of Oman, and gave them fair warning to stop,” the president said in a Truth Social Post.

“The Iranian crew refused to listen, so our Navy ship stopped them right in their tracks by blowing a hole in the engineroom. Right now, U.S. Marines have custody of the vessel. The TOUSKA is under U.S. Treasury Sanctions because of their prior history of illegal activity. We have full custody of the ship, and are seeing what’s on board!” the president added.

On Saturday, the navy of Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps said it could close the Strait of Hormuz, deeming the Trump administration’s blockade a violation of the peace deal.

The nation’s joint navy command said: “control of the Strait of Hormuz has returned to its previous state… under strict management and control of the armed forces.”

It also warned that it could continue to block transit through the strait as long as the Trump administration’s blockade continues.

As the end of the two-week ceasefire between the U.S., Israel, and Iran approaches on Wednesday, President Trump said U.S. negotiators will probably be in Pakistan on Monday in hopes of extending the ceasefire. The Iranian delegation, however, didn’t immediately remark on their attendance on Monday.

The president vowed to demolish Iran’s civilian infrastructure if the nation rejected the U.S.-proposed peace settlement. “If they don’t, the United States is going to knock out every single Power Plant, and every single Bridge, in Iran,” Trump wrote.

The last spherical of negotiations, led by Vice President JD Vance failed after he said Iran refused to settle for American phrases to chorus from developing nuclear weapons.

“But the simple fact is that we need to see an affirmative commitment that they will not seek a nuclear weapon, and they will not seek the tools that would enable them to quickly achieve a nuclear weapon,” Vance told reporters after the 21 hours of talks in Pakistan. “That is the core goal of the president of the United States. And that’s what we’ve tried to achieve through these negotiations.”
