It’s Time for the Senate to Fight Like Trump and

As one of the Navy’s first F/A-18 Super Hornet pilots, I flew fight missions where hesitation wasn’t an option – because hesitation will get people killed. In that setting, you don’t wait, you don’t over-process, and you don’t second-guess the mission. You act because people are counting on you.

That’s what we’re seeing from President Trump proper now.

In just the first 12 months, we’ve seen outcomes that Washington said weren’t achievable: no tax on ideas and time beyond regulation, unlawful border crossings diminished to ranges not seen in a long time, violent criminals taken off the streets, fentanyl flows cut dramatically, and the lowest homicide fee in over a century.

We’ve also seen what strong management produces on the world stage. In Venezuela, a focused operation dismantled a narco-regime that had fueled instability and drug trafficking for years. In the useless of evening, with minimal boots on the ground, President Trump made the world safer.

If the Commander-in-Chief can act with urgency and resolve, the query is simple: why can’t the Senate?

Right now, they’ve a clear mission in entrance of them – it’s called the SAVE America Act. This is a easy step to strengthen election integrity that deserves the same degree of focus and self-discipline we count on in any critical operation. When I represented northern Los Angeles County, I heard this constantly. Families, small business house owners, and veterans all needed the same factor: confidence that the system is honest and utilized evenly.

In California, we’ve seen what occurs when that confidence begins to slip – you lose trust fast when guidelines get unfastened, accountability disappears, and people really feel like the system isn’t being enforced evenly.

The SAVE America Act is a likelihood to draw a line and repair it. But instead of shifting with urgency, the Senate is slow strolling one thing that ought to already be achieved.

Democratic opposition is anticipated. The concern is hesitation among Republicans, whose delay in this setting is a selection, not a necessity.

What President Trump is doing proper now is exposing that most of the delay in Washington is by selection. While he’s cutting through paperwork, implementing the law, and delivering real outcomes, the Senate is proving just how a lot time will get wasted on excuses, course of, and political warning. The American people are watching a President who acts with urgency and a Senate that acts like there’s no clock.

If the President can take on global threats, disrupt felony networks, and restore order at the border, then the Senate can cross one invoice to defend the integrity of our elections.

The mission is clear: Move the SAVE America Act to the President’s desk and get it achieved.
