ITV Emmerdale viewers switch off minutes as they fume | UK News

Emmerdale followers took to social media with fury as ITV returned to the beloved Dales following a major cliffhanger. After John Sugden (performed by Oliver Farnworth) threw himself and his husband, Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller), off a cliff, Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) was left at the scene screaming for the destiny of his brother and lover. As news unfold across the village, many viewers identified a major flaw in the episode.

With John and Aaron left significantly injured, Robert called an ambulance, which rapidly appeared to take the couple to the hospital. However, just moments before their fall, John had called the police, claiming his brother was attempting to kill them. And with no method to show his innocence, Robert was arrested for tried homicide despite his pleas of innocence. Taking to X, one unimpressed fan fumed: “I’ve had to stop watching. It’s always the same story regurgitated. For once, couldn’t they decide that there wouldn’t be a coma and the wrong person wouldn’t get accused and arrested? And Chas and her mouth made me want to put a boot through my TV.” They predicted: “Aaron will end up in a coma, John will wake up, show the video of Robert attacking him, will drag out till Aaron wakes up, meaning Mack will be found dead as he can’t survive that long.” As another identified: “The ambulance finds you even though you don’t give them your location?”

Commenting on the velocity, another remarked: “Wow…… considering the ambulance had to get to the middle of nowhere off the road and down a gorge……. They were quick!#emmerdale

A third joked: “The psychic ambulance crew arrived in a short time.” As one highlighted: “So who told the ambulance where to go? Robert definitely did not.”

“Good job they don’t have to wait for hours for the ambulance to arrive…#emmerdale,” echoed a fifth.

Ahead of his arrest, Robert was confronted by Aaron and John’s loved ones, who had been anxiously awaiting an update, and although he told them everything, he was instead accused of being obsessed with Aaron.
