Ivanka Trump shares moment she saw dad Donald

Ivanka Trump is revealing new harrowing particulars about where she was on July 13, 2024, the day her father, President Donald Trump, confronted an assassination attempt in Butler, Pennsylvania, during a 2024 election marketing campaign stop.

The president’s eldest daughter appeared during a uncommon interview at The Diary of a CEO YouTube channel, offering never-before-seen particulars about her tumultuous life, including one important lesson she discovered from the incident that virtually took her father’s life.

“You can’t take things for granted in life,” a visibly emotional Ivanka said.

“I’ve learned that in numerous ways, [the assassination attempt] being one of them, when my mom passed prematurely, when my husband had a scare with cancer. You know, all of these challenges that remind you how finite and how precious every moment of this life that we live are,” she added.

Going into element about her father’s assassination attempt, an emotional Ivanka revealed she was at a bistro in Bedminster, New Jersey, with her household and intimate pals. When she appeared up at a tv at the institution, the 44-year-old businesswoman all of a sudden saw a terrifying image— her father being shot.

“It was almost real-time, it was before he stood back up that I’d seen what was transpiring and two of my children were there, so my first reaction was to turn them away,” she said. “But it was incredibly difficult. Interestingly, I knew in real time at that moment that he was fine.”

“I was horrified, I was scared, I was protective of my children, but I also, I didn’t believe the worst possible outcome had transpired, thank God. And thank God it hadn’t,” she added.

President Trump survived a taking pictures at an open-air rally in Butler, a small city some 35 miles north of Pittsburgh. The president left the incident virtually unscathed, with the higher half of his proper ear struggling from a minor injury due to the bullet.

The perpetrator was later revealed to be Thomas Crooks, a secretive 20-year-old Pennsylvania man with little digital footprint and who lived in excessive isolation. He was shortly recognized and neutralized by Secret Service brokers during the incident.

“We were so fortunate that day that this was a failed attempt to take his life, not a realized one,” Ivanka said, reflecting on her mentality after the incident. “But you sort of recommit to love and connection and to a recognition of how short our time here on earth is and how you have to value it.”

Though she deflected on whether or not she is ready to forgive the now-deceased shooter, Ivanka said she still tries to stay optimistic, not letting the “sickness” of the world get to her.

“So I could look at what happened and be rightfully traumatized by the experience and nobody could really argue with that, but you have to move through it,” she said, explaining that she tries to stay optimistic. “And on the opposite side of that is the fact that he’s with us today, that he didn’t die, that my father’s alive. That is an extraordinary blessing for me as his daughter. In life, you only have a choice only in how you respond, and I choose to see the positive outcome that transpired and dwell there.”
