The group of Jailer 2 has issued an official clarification relating to experiences surrounding the Hindi theatrical release of the Rajinikanth-starrer. Addressing current hypothesis that the Hindi model could not release in theatres as deliberate, the makers have confirmed that the movie will arrive in cinemas on Thursday, October 15, 2026, alongside its other language variations.
The clarification comes after experiences urged that the Hindi model of Jailer 2 may face restrictions over the hole between its theatrical release and OTT premiere. Some experiences linked the state of affairs to a four-week OTT window, reportedly linked to a bigger digital rights deal. National multiplex chains such as PVR INOX and Cinepolis are usually related with an eight-week theatrical-to-OTT window for Hindi movies.
This led to hypothesis that the Hindi model of Jailer 2 may have a restricted theatrical presence, notably in the Hindi-speaking market.

In their official assertion, the group said, “In light of recent media reports suggesting that Jailer 2 will not be releasing in Hindi, we would like to officially clarify that the film’s Hindi version is scheduled for a theatrical release on Thursday, 15th October 2026, alongside its other language versions, as originally planned.”
The group also confirmed that the Hindi model can have a distributor for the North Indian market. “The film will be distributed in North India by Pen Marudhar Entertainment,” the assertion read.
The makers additional reiterated that the release schedule stays unchanged, including, “There has been no change to the scheduled Hindi theatrical release.”
