Friday evening, Jake Paul will face off against Anthony Joshua in a boxing bout that can be broadcast on Netflix.
But, it’s not just a big event for the social media star-turned-boxer. Bushwick-based fashion designer Benny Goldberg, 25, will also be in the ring — in a sense.

He designed Paul’s wild, Hulk Hogan-inspired look for the struggle, which is forecast to draw 50 to 55 million viewers.
“To be able to share that work on such a big stage, for such a big audience, that’s what you dream of,” Goldberg told The Post.
Goldberg obtained an inquiry from Paul about designing the struggle outfit when he was on a airplane home to Michigan. Paul’s timeline was short — just two months until the struggle — “but if those two months worked, I knew it was going to change my whole life,” Goldberg told the Post. Bry Aquino
Jake Paul knew what he needed in his struggle outfit: Alligator pores and skin, rattlesnake pores and skin and an all-encompassing homage to one of fight sports activities all-time greats — his previous buddy Hogan, who handed away earlier this 12 months.
Paul introduced his concepts to Goldberg this past September. At that level, the look was going to be for a November struggle against Gervonta Davis, the undefeated light-weight champion. Goldberg would have just eight weeks to make the flowery getup.

“It was going to change my whole life.” said Goldberg, who obtained the inquiry while on a flight home to Michigan.
He completed the outfit — a matching set of shorts, jacket, boots and sun shades — in time for the big event. Then, at the last minute, the struggle was scrapped after Davis’ ex-girlfriend filed a civil go well with against him alleging home battery.
The total struggle outfit is a tribute to the legendary wrestler Hulk Hogan, who was a close buddy of Paul’s. “Hogan was a huge motorcycle rider, so a lot of the design is inspired by vintage Harley and old NWO wrestling jackets,” Goldberg said. Bry Aquino

Now, Paul will don Goldberg’s work in Friday’s struggle against Joshua. It’s a dramatic ensemble that pulls no punches.
On the jacket, which can be taken off just before the opening bell, the sleeves function yellow flames made from pores and skin of an alligator Paul hunted close to his ranch in Georgia.
The back of the jacket is festooned with a nameplate in rattlesnake pores and skin. Paul hunted down the snake as properly.
The sun shades Goldberg designed for Paul had been produced in partnership with Robbie Stinchcomb, previously the head-designer at Brooklyn-based artwork collective MSCHF. The two met at a feast in New York. Bry Aquino
For the remaining of the outfit, Goldberg scoured New York’s garment district for “super luxe materials” — high-end satin, crimson and yellow lambskin and leather-based.
“Hogan was a huge motorcycle rider, so a lot of the design is inspired by vintage Harley and old NWO wrestling jackets,” the designer explained.
In tribute to the Hulk’s iconic sun shades — yellow Oakley’s — Goldberg collaborated with Robbie Stinchcomb to make a 3D-printed riff on the late wrestler’s eyewear. These, too, can be eliminated just before combating commences.
Goldberg moved from LA to New York in 2025 and created an impartial label, First Draft. In addition to the Paul struggle outfit, the label also lately accomplished a line with the Portland Trailblazers. Bry Aquino
Goldberg and Stinchcomb met at third Space, an exclusive Gen-Z feast collection, and hit it off. Within weeks, they had been trading notes on prototypes.
“Working with [people like Stinchcomb] and these companies in the Garment District opened my eyes to the difference between New York and LA,” said Goldberg, who moved from California to Brooklyn in August 2025. “People here are ready to work. They respect the grind. It’s so much more my energy.”
Goldberg beforehand led design and manufacturing at an LA-based model, creating the appears to be like Paul wore in bouts against Mike Tyson and Mike Perry.

This commission carries added weight: It is his first major struggle outfit since relocating to New York — and the first under his newly launched impartial label, First Draft.
Once the project was full, Paul flew Goldberg and his design group down to Georgia for an in-person presentation.
“I’m usually nervous going into these [sort of meets],” Goldberg said. But Pauls’ response erased any doubts.
“He couldn’t believe it — he was ready to fight right then.”
