Vice President JD Vance made a snarky comment about the current Michigan main, which unexpectedly went in favor of progressive Democrat Abdul El-Sayed relatively than U.S. Rep. Hayley Stevens.

Vance’s vitriol comes after his boss, President Donald Trump, attacked El-Sayed on Truth Social minutes after the election was called. “Wayne County (Detroit) in Michigan is one of the most corrupt voting areas in the United States, if not the World,” Trump said.
“It is strictly Third World! remarkable results happen in Wayne County, including more votes being cast than there are voters, by a lot,” he added. “Therefore, the Communist, who is not liked in Detroit, is potentially in ‘Vote Counter’ trouble.”
Trump added, “The Radical Left Socialist has a real shot, and don’t discount all of those fake mail-in ballots that will ‘surprisingly’ show up at the last moment.” The president then told his supporters to “get ready for another Rigged Election. In November, we must VOTE FOR MIKE ROGERS, and make Michigan TOO BIG TO RIG.”

Trump doubled down in a separate post, claiming that El-Sayed’s victory was really “good news” for Republicans because El-Sayed was “a Communist loser who hates Jews and Israel, is the projected winner in his race with the Socialist.” The president added, “As usual, the Polls were way off on this one.”
“She was not expected to do nearly as well as she did,” Trump continued. “Now, the Dumocrats crazy policies will only get worse!”
El-Sayed will now go on to face Republican Mike Rogers, a former congressman who ran unopposed for the GOP nomination. In an official assertion, Stevens said that she would assist El-Sayed’s candidacy.
“I am proud to offer my support as he takes on Mike Rogers in the general election,” she said. “This was a thorough and rigorous campaign that brought out the full span of views within the Democratic Party – and that is why we have primaries.”
Seemingly in retaliation to the feedback, El-Sayed commented during a press convention, “They think they want to use my whole name against me.”
