Jen Affleck scared and vulnerable ahead of | TV Shows

Jen Affleck is “scared” to compete on Dancing with the Stars after a “traumatic” actuality TV expertise.

The Hulu star, 26, is set to make her debut on the hit actuality competitors show tonight. Just before the season premiere, she is opening up about the preparation she took to get to this second.

Jen, who has been paired with a new professional with A-list ties, revealed she’s hitting the dance flooring as a full beginner to the skilled dancing realm.

Jen told Yahoo that her only expertise was from her Hispanic background where she grew up dancing at paries and “on countertops.”

After her first week of rehearsals, Jen was lined in bruises and blisters. She was left shocked at how vigorous the preparation was.

The show’s difficult nature, however, helps her “get out of the rut.”

She confessed the show is “filling my cup” and has helped her really feel “more inspired in life,” which has translated into giving more of herself to her household and the world.

Her household is the main motive she dedicated to the show.

“I think that’s why I’m doing everything that I’m doing — so I can show them that I did the scary thing,” she added. “It’s daunting … being in a place where people can judge you. But I realized the key to success is being able to cringe at yourself, and also just being OK with being uncomfortable.”

Jen has been paired with the show’s new professional Jan Ravnik, who has already gained some consideration for being a backup dancer at Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour.
