Jeremy Clarkson has quashed rumours that his sidekick Kaleb Cooper has been “replaced” on the hit collection ‘Clarkson’s Farm’.

Fans of the Amazon Prime Video show had been all aflutter seeing a new face, Harriet Cowan, alongside Clarkson in a teaser for the awaited fourth season, but the previous ‘Top Gear’ star was fast to set the file straight.

In a latest Instagram replace, Clarkson defined: “There has been lots of reports that Kaleb has been ‘replaced’ – well, no he hasn’t.”

Elaborating on the scenario, the seasoned presenter revealed: “What happened is this, he went away on his speaking tour, for a couple of months because he imagined that after four years, I’d be able to manage on my own.

“I did not – I made a full mess of all the things and had to deliver in a younger lady known as Harriet. Harriet is good and appeared after the fort until he received back. That is it – that’s the story!”

The much-anticipated new episodes of ‘Clarkson’s Farm’ are slated to land on the streaming platform come May 23, though Clarkson hints at a potential hiatus after five rollicking seasons.

Chatting with The Sunday Times, he remarked: “Whatever occurs we’ll undoubtedly take a short break as the crews are all worn out.

“We need a breather. We’ve kept the cameras rolling pretty much non-stop for half a decade, and it’s time for a well-deserved rest,” he admitted.

Since its debut in 2021, ‘Clarkson’s Farm’ has unexpectedly captured viewers’ hearts, one thing Clarkson confesses he never noticed coming.

He revealed: “I did think it’d serve up gentle disappointment to the ‘Top Gear’, ‘Grand Tour’ audience.

“I very a lot was typecast as this man who drove around corners too shortly while shouting and utilizing hyperbole to make a level. I believed, why would anyone who watches ‘Top Gear’ or ‘The Grand Tour’ need to watch this bucolic show about farming?

“Then they did and it brought a whole new audience who’d never watched a single programme I’d made.”

Clarkson just lately shared his delight in taking on the position of “midwife” for cows at Diddly Squat.

Writing in The Sunday Times, Clarkson expressed: “I pulled until it felt like my eyes were bleeding. Until, phloomh, the calf was out.

“I rushed over to it, scraping the gunk – again, I’m not sure that’s the proper time period – from its face before placing a bit of straw up its nostril to make it sneeze and begin respiratory. And it did.

“And I simply cannot tell you how that feels. I was exhausted, my arms felt as though they were on fire, I was covered in slimy cow juice and faeces and I was smiling a smile that I simply didn’t think would be possible in any kind of workplace.”

Clarkson’s Farm will return to Prime Video on May 23.
