Jeremy Kyle was unable to carry back the tears as he opened up concerning the heartbreaking cause his show was axed. The Jeremy Kyle Show got here to an abrupt finish in May 2019 when Steve Dymond, a 63-year-old construction employee who appeared as a visitor on the programme, took his life round one week after filming. An inquest was opened into Dymond’s death and led to a five-year investigation earlier than the reality was revealed.

Shortly after information of Dymond’s death was made public, Kyle, 59, was hounded by the press so badly that he was unable to depart his home. Kyle was finally cleared of solutions that “acts or omissions” on his half “may have caused or contributed to” the tragedy. Things turned emotional as Kyle mentioned the aftermath of the tragedy with Kate Garraway, 57, on her new collection of Life Stories on Tuesday evening (April 1).

The Good Morning Britain presenter, 57, seen that Kyle was “tearful” as he mirrored on the tragedy.

Kyle responded: “Yeah because I’ve got great people who saved me. My wife, Denny who’s just a legend. I was very lucky and as I said, nobody wants to know about the television presenter on the big salary who found it difficult. My thoughts were always, first and foremost, for Steve Dymond, to get to a point where you would do that, it must be terrible.”

The presenter expressed his frustration over having to stay silent for 5 years as a result of legal causes. “You take a bashing and that’s fine,” he confessed. 

The star continued: “You have to feel for his family and then this process got dragged out and became this huge thing because the family needed the truth and we needed the truth to be out there.”

He went on to confess that he “understood entirely” that The Jeremy Kyle Show needed to finish after that. Kyle added: “I completely get the people who were critics of the show. I accept it. No bitterness, anger or resentment. You find out who your friends are.”

Unable to get out of mattress at one level, the discuss show host credited his spouse for “dragging” him to a physician, who prescribed him antidepressants.

Speaking concerning the sudden axe of his show, Kyle stated: “It makes you realise how utterly inconsistent and how something can go instantly and how you can go from being the king of the castle to not being allowed in the castle grounds. But at the end of the day, I’m at peace with that.”

Asked if he was proud of The Jeremy Kyle Show, he responded: “I’m proud of the people we helped, the people who found out about their parents, the ones who went to rehab. Sadly we know the ending is not what anybody would have wanted, but I spent five years not able to say that I’m proud of what it was.”
