Jesse Watters was criticized by conservatives after defending President Donald Trump.

During the Fox News broadcast of Jesse Watters Primetime on June 4, the host mentioned that the House of Representatives voted to restrict the battle powers of President Donald Trump, 79, amid the continued battle with Iran. The House authorized a battle powers decision that would halt the U.S. army motion against the Middle Eastern nation. Republicans joined with Democrats to end the three-month-long battle.

Watters downplayed the House’s victory and defended the president, arguing that “Trump will just veto it.” This got here after Trump turned livid and ordered an investigation into California’s election delays.

Watters said, “The House just passed a war powers resolution to end the war in Iran. The final vote was 215 to 208. With four Republicans breaking rank, including Thomas Massie, who lost his reelection.”

“The vote means Trump will have to seek out congressional approval for any future military action,” he continued before including, “The bill is going to be voted now on the Senate.”

“We’ll see what happens there,” he went on. “Even if it does pass out of the Senate, Trump will just veto it.”

Watters shrugged his shoulders and closed, “More symbolic.”

Viewers took to social media to slam the host’s feedback, arguing that the president doesn’t have limitless energy.

One individual ranted, “Delusional! Yeah, let’s encourage war and death on the other side of the world. That will really support our interests! Let’s deplete our military resources and weaken our position so that we are vulnerable for an unexpected conflict! Oh, we are so f—ed!”

Another individual added, “Trump had them on the ropes and failed to end it. And now, his own party finally gave up on him. And you’re still here rooting for the guy?”

A 3rd wrote, “Cute how you’re excited about an out-of-control president who’s gone completely off the rails. Freak!”

Despite the criticism, Watters still had a supporter who agreed with him and said, “Trump will just veto it. That just shows that the MAGA Republicans were right in voting out Massie!”

On the same day, President Trump broke his silence after his battle powers have been curtailed.

In a scathing message on Truth Social, Trump wrote, “Yesterday, in a meaningless vote, the House voted, 4 bad Republicans and all of the Dumocrats, to limit my War Powers, right in the middle of my final negotiations to end the War with the Islamic Republic of Iran.”

Trump claimed the Democrats “would rather have our Country fail than give me another, of many, victories,” and slammed the 4 Republicans as “GRANDSTANDERS! They should be ashamed of themselves.”
