Jesse Watters boasted of the United States’ retaliatory strike against Iran, which irked conservatives.

During the May 27 Fox News broadcast of Jesse Watters’ Primetime, the host reported on a retaliatory strike close to the Strait of Hormuz, the first oil export route. The U.S. struck an Iranian missile launch web site, a few minelaying boats, and some assault drones close to the blockade of the Strait. Ahead of the strike, President Donald Trump, 79, said at his Cabinet assembly that he was dissatisfied with the current peace deal with the Middle Eastern nation.

Watters, 47, boasted about the “new strikes at Iran.” This got here as co-hosts Watters and Jessica Tarlov, 42, clashed in a tense on-air argument on The Five as the panel debated about the president’s current actions.

Watters boasted, “We just carried out new strikes at Iran. The Pentagon confirmed to Fox that the U.S. struck four Iranian drones posing a threat to the Strait. CENTCOM is also bombing an Iranian site. It was seconds away from launching a fifth drone.

“We’re told that these strikes have been purely defensive and meant to preserve the ceasefire.

“The President called an in-house Cabinet meeting today,” he continued before including, “The main topic? Iran!

“Administration officers imagine a deal is still imminent. We’re utilizing the carrot and the stick,” he closed.

Viewers took to social media to slam Watters’ boastful comments, arguing the president should be pursuing other options than striking Iran amid the fragile ceasefire.

One viewer said, “Trump world, Jesse. Must bomb to preserve a ceasefire. That’s your man, and we all see you, you f—ing idiot!”

Another viewer added, “This isn’t ‘HOLY SMOKES’ anymore, Jesse! Every new strike pushes the Middle East nearer to a catastrophe no one can absolutely control! Oil routes, global markets, civilians, regional stability — all sitting on a knife’s edge proper now.”

A 3rd wrote, “Trump said, ‘No new wars, only offers.’ Now every week he is bombing Iran and calling it ‘defensive strikes to defend the ceasefire.’ Bro, are you sustaining the ceasefire by dropping more bombs? Peace through strength or Peace through limitless explosions?”

Despite the criticism, Watters had a supporter who agreed with his statements and shared, “Trump is talking the only language those barbaric cretins perceive. War isn’t good, but on event it’s needed. No bones about it, Jesse, this has bought to be performed.”

During the Cabinet meeting, Trump expressed confidence that his administration is making headway in negotiations with Iran to end the war. The agreement looks into reopening the Strait of Hormuz, while seeking to get Iran to give up its stockpile of highly enriched uranium.

However, the Islamic Republic wants economic sanctions lifted and its frozen assets released to aid its shattered economy. Iran’s closure of the Strait has sent oil prices skyrocketing, driving up fuel prices.
