Jets staring down critical NFL scouting combine…
INDIANAPOLIS — The basis of the Jets 2026 season will start to be constructed right here this week.
The NFL Scouting Combine is when the NFL offseason hits overdrive.
You have groups, brokers and faculty prospects all in the same metropolis for a few days and groups’ offseason plans start to come to fruition.
For the Jets, they’re attempting to repair a workforce that went 3-14 in the first 12 months of head coach Aaron Glenn and normal supervisor Darren Mougey.
There are holes all over the roster, most notably at quarterback, that will start to be crammed.

The new league 12 months begins March 11, and that is when groups can formally signal free brokers.
But offers shall be mentioned this week, both with the workforce’s own free brokers and targets from other groups.
This is also a key week for draft evaluations as prospects go through drills, interview with groups and have medical exams.
At his end-of-season news convention, Mougey set the expectations for 2026.
“I believe we can be competitive and respectable right away, next year,” Mougey said.
To do that, the Jets are going to have to be a lot, a lot better in Year 2 under Glenn than they have been in Year 1.
The Jets have been noncompetitive in the ultimate month of the season and misplaced their ultimate 5 video games after opening the season 0-7.
Glenn made modifications at both offensive and defensive coordinator and the method was not easy.
That is one thing he’ll have to reply when he meets with the media right here on Tuesday.

This is a big offseason for Glenn, who enters 2026 on the recent seat.
Glenn is anticipated to call the defensive performs this season but it is going to be attention-grabbing to see if he alters his strategy in other methods.
At the end of the season, he hinted at realizing he made errors.
“As a rookie head coach, and same thing as a GM, man, going through the first year and really understanding the landscape of everything, like that’s a huge deal,” Glenn said. “I will tell you that right now. And speaking on myself, man, there’s a number of things that I know I will be better at.”
The first order of business for the Jets is dealing with their own free brokers.
Breece Hall is at the top of the record and the workforce must determine if they are going to use the franchise or transition tag on him by the March 3 deadline.
If they franchise him, it is going to price about $14.5 million.
A transition tag is cheaper, about $11.5 million, but they run the risk of shedding him to another workforce with no draft choose compensation.

Hall’s representatives is not going to only have the option to get a really feel for the Jets’ plans this week but also what sort of worth other groups put on him.

Ohio State linebacker Arvell Reese is the participant being linked to the Jets with the No. 2 choose most regularly and the workforce will get to see him up close.
