Jim Acosta slams Karoline Leavitt in brutal | TV Shows
Former CNN host Jim Acosta didn’t hold back during a recent interview on Meidas Touch LIVE, where he shared his candid thoughts on President Donald Trump‘s administration and its new White House Press Secretary, Karoline Leavitt.
Host Ben Meiselas asked the 53-year-old broadcaster about his views on the current political landscape, leading to a scathing critique of 27-year-old Leavitt.
“It’s hard to see somebody out-Spicer Sean Spicer or out-Huckabee Sarah Huckabee Sanders, but Karoline Leavitt-she’s making a run for it,” Acosta began.
He went on to suggest that Leavitt could earn a spot on what he termed Trump’s “All-Star team of liars.” He joked: “She might be on the bench right now, but if she keeps working hard, does her homework, she just might make it onto the team.”
Acosta lamented the state of affairs, noting that the current White House behavior mirrors that of the first Trump administration. He criticized their tendency to “perform for an audience of one,” referencing former press secretary Sean Spicer.
This has ignited concerns about potential leaks or hacker vulnerabilities affecting millions of Americans’ information.
“Rest assured to all the people watching your show tonight, if you paid into the system honestly, you will continue to receive your social security checks,” Leavitt insisted to conservative Fox News host Sean Hannity on Sunday night.
She criticized the “fake news” for distorting information during a White House dispute with the Associated Press, which was barred from President Trump’s Oval Office interactions and Air Force One journeys after AP declined to comply with the Trump administration’s new naming convention for the “Gulf of America.”
“Do not buy into the lies from the legacy fake news media who are trying to fear you and scare you into believing otherwise,” she announced, going on to defend President Trump’s intentions: “This is what we’ve seen them do about President Trump for years with every promise that he has made and he is going in there to protect your hard-earned money. That’s the ultimate goal.”
Acosta also chimed in on the Associated Press ban during his Meidas Touch LIVE interview, highlighting the global reach of AP, saying”[AP] is read and viewed by some four billion people around the world,” and emphasized its critical role by adding, “just about every news outlet in the United States relies on the Associated Press.”
The veteran broadcaster further expressed his concern, noting the significant influence on public information: “It has a major impact on the information that people are receiving around this country, and I just don’t think it’s something that should just be tolerated at this point.
“I think that the AP should look at whether or not they should sue the administration,” he concluded.
