Podcaster Joe Rogan criticized Trump’s method to the Iran war, days after Trump dubbed him “liberal” during a White House event.

In a latest episode of his “The Joe Rogan Experience” podcast, Rogan, who supported President Trump during the 2024 election, slammed the president’s international coverage, notably his handling of the Iran war.

“People have wanted [the Supreme Leader and the ruling Islamic Republic] out of Iran… for 47 years,” Rogan said on his podcast. “But no one has actually gone and done it the way this administration did it, and it doesn’t make sense they chose to do it when they did it. Like what made sense was… when they dropped that bunker buster bomb to disable their nuclear plant.”

Rogan was referring to Operation Midnight Hammer, in which the U.S. carried out strikes in Iran’s nuclear services in an attempt to weaken its missile-grade aspirations.

Later in the episode, the podcaster questioned why the intentions behind the Feb. 28 joint strikes that the U.S. launched with Israel, which kick-started the battle.

“But, you know, why did we do it? I don’t know. I think because of Israel, if I had to guess,” he said. “[It’s] the only thing that makes sense. Then [Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin] Netanyahu kept visiting the White House. You think it’s a coincidence? Netanyahu keeps visiting the White House. And then eventually they decide to give in and start bombing.”

“And also, you, you got to wonder, like, how do you get out of this, and then what does the exit look like? Do we have troops over there forever now? Do we subsidize them if we blow up their, their power grid?” he added.

Rogan’s feedback come just days after he appeared at the White House alongside President Trump, Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., and other health officers, to announce reforms to velocity up access to medical research on psychedelic medicine.

During the event, the president made a level to acknowledge Rogan’s presence. The podcaster has publicly championed toward looser restrictions on medical research on psychedelic medicine.

“We did a little interview before the election,” Trump said during the event, referring to his look on the favored podcast. “We had over 300 million people, and I said, ‘Oh man, I hope Kamala doesn’t do it.’ And she didn’t.”

During his remarks, Trump also dubbed the podcaster as “liberal,” even though Rogan principally sides with the president. Nevertheless, Rogan has beforehand called himself “politically homeless.”

“We all respect Joe and –– he’s a little bit more liberal than I am. But that’s OK. I have a lot of friends that are liberal.”

Rogan has made his ideas on Iran identified. Earlier this month, in a dialog with fellow podcaster Theo Vonn, Rogan said he was in disbelief when he discovered the U.S. was hanging Iran. days later, he said that the president’s supporters “feel betrayed” over the president’s handling of international coverage.

“Well, it just seems so insane, based on what he ran on. I mean, this is why a lot of people feel betrayed, right? he said. “He ran on, ‘No more wars,’ ‘End these stupid, senseless wars,’ and then we have one that we can’t even really clearly define why we did it.”
