Joe Rogan wants to remove UFC weight limit | MMA News

Terence Crawford could not include his amusement when studying of one UFC rule that Joe Rogan wants to abolish.

The UFC is way from good, and there are a number of modifications every fan would need to see applied in the promotion, both big and small, in their perfect world. Joe Rogan is no different, with the comic and colour commentator wanting to change many guidelines, beginning with weight limits.

During an look on his podcast, Terence Crawford and host Joe Rogan burst into laughter when discussing one of the UFC’s long-held guidelines. Despite agreeing that weight lessons are important in all fight sports activities, Rogan and Crawford both imagine that the heavyweights needs to be given free rein to enter the octagon however they need.

“The UFC has a heavyweight limit,” Rogan explained to Crawford, who guest-starred on the JRE podcast. “Do you know how crazy that is? Isn’t that stupid? It’s stupid, right?”

Terence Crawford was unaware of the restraint put in place for UFC heavyweights, agreeing with Joe Rogan that it was an pointless boundary to be pressured to comply with.

Using boxers as an instance, Rogan tried to persuade listeners how ignorant the rule is.

“265 [lbs]. You have to weigh 265,” Rogan continued. “So, think about Tyson Fury. When Tyson Fury fought Deontay [Wilder], he was like 280, 285. Imagine he’s got to dehydrate himself. He’s got to lose 20 f***ing pounds just to make the weight class. That’s ret**ded. That doesn’t make any sense at all. At all. It’s the heavyweights.”

“Remember [Nikolai] Valuev when he was fighting Evander Holyfield. Oh my god. He had to be over 300 pounds. He was [gigantic]. He was a literal giant, an actual giant.”

Shocked by the weird rule, Crawford urged Rogan to focus on his issues with those above him. Despite being a pillar in the growth of combined martial arts, Rogan revealed that his concepts are never thought of by Dana White.

“Nobody listens to me, bro,” Rogan said. “They don’t. They don’t listen to me. They think I’m crazy… Oh, I have a bunch of wacky rules that I want to institute. So, I understand why they don’t want to listen to me.”

“I would throw the whole sport up in the air.”
