John Harbaugh linked to Packers job if they fire…
If the Packers had been to transfer on from Matt LaFleur following Saturday’s playoff loss to the Bears, it could add the largest twist yet to an already surprising NFL teaching cycle.
During “Sunday NFL Countdown,” ESPN’s Adam Schefter linked John Harbaugh to a potential Packers opening in what can be a blow to groups just like the Giants hoping to secure the Super Bowl winner’s providers.
LaFleur’s contract is up after the 2026 season, and Schefter famous that Packers president Ed Policy has a big determination to make relating to a potential extension.

“The Packers’ former president back in the day was a man by the name of Bob Harlan. Bob Harlan’s son, Bryan Harlan, represents John Harbaugh. John Harbaugh is a midwestern guy who has a home in the upper peninsula (in Michigan),” Schefter said. “And a lot of people around the league have been wondering if the Packers decide to go in a different direction, if all of a sudden the Green Bay Packers might vault to the top of John Harbaugh’s list as the top available choice for him.”
While the Packers will surely loom as a doable favourite for Harbaugh if they fire LaFleur after seven seasons, the flip facet for the Giants and other groups with teaching vacancies is LaFleur would grow to be a top goal for them.
The Post’s Paul Schwartz reported that Harbaugh is amenable to sitting down with Giants normal supervisor Joe Schoen.
Fox Sports’ Jay Glazer on Saturday spoke to Harbaugh, who said this weekend he was going to slim his listing down to three or 4 groups and make a determination on where he desires to go this week.

The Giants have been casting a vast web, as Schoen said they would, and ostensibly would add LaFleur to their listing if he had been to grow to be obtainable.
LaFleur, 46, has a 76-40-1 regular-season document with Green Bay and has made the playoffs six instances, though they’ve been bounced in the wild-card spherical two years in a row and haven’t gotten back to the NFC Championship sport since two consecutive appearances in his first two years at the helm.
