Judges Decision on Teens Charged in Attack on | Political News
We reported on the courageous actions of the previous Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) worker, Edward Coristine, in defending a girl on August 3 during an alleged carjacking in Washington, D.C. Coristine pushed the girl into the car for security. He was then allegedly assaulted and suffered accidents.
The alleged assault on Coristine, who is also recognized by his nickname “Big Balls,” factored into President Donald Trump’s resolution to take over law enforcement in D.C.

While these two teenagers have been charged, there have been reportedly about 10 people in the group that Coristine confronted.
But the latest motion taken by the choose in the case raised some eyebrows on X.
A 15-year-old lady and a 15-year-old boy, who have been charged with unarmed carjacking days after the assault, have been given lighter restrictions.
Since their arrest, the suspects had been held at D.C.’s Youth Services Center (YSC), where juveniles are positioned in secure detention by court order. According to studies, Judge Kendra D. Briggs, who was nominated by then-President Joe Biden in 2021, ruled that one of the kids could be despatched to a youth shelter while the other could be granted home arrest.
While the kids are being launched from the YSC, they’re still subject to curfews, weekly drug assessments and digital monitoring, NBC4 Washington reported.
The choose said to the 2 teenagers, “School and home, that’s it.” Biggs told them, “The fact that this court is stepping you down from Youth Services Center is a serious step,” adding that they aren’t allowed any contact with each other.
Briggs said she was sending the boy home instead of to the youth house, because the house is a long distance from his school, and traveling between the two would be difficult.
“I don’t want to put hardship on your family,” she said. The boy will have spot drug tests at his probation officer’s discretion and must stay out of D.C. except to appear in court, she added.
Some on X were not happy with that decision. This was a sample:
