Former welterweight champion Kamaru Usman returns to the octagon on June 14, headlining UFC on ESPN 69 against Joaquin Buckley.

“Belal just appears to be a totally different kind of champion who’s prepared to make memes, he’s prepared to get on Twitter, social media, because he desires the eye,” Usman continued.

Usman invited Muhammad to appear on his “Pound 4 Pound” podcast and Muhammad accepted the offer. The segment hasn’t been released but the two reportedly came to blows in the studio.
“He craves that consideration. Even if you are a light-weight, even if you are a man that’s a flyweight who’s not in the division, he’s prepared to have that back-and-forth with you,” Usman said. “And for me, I just discover it a little bit distasteful, and I wasn’t a half of it And once he turned champion, he began to come at me with that power. I used to be like, ‘Oh, you could have a downside with me? Well, if you could have a downside, I do not actually play the web recreation. Let’s speak it out.’ So we invited him on the podcast, and it went how it went. That’s all I might say.
