White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt opened up about her working relationship with President Donald Trump in a current interview.

During a Fox News look alongside Lara Trump on July 25, Leavitt, 28, spoke candidly about her position as spokesperson for the 80-year-old president. She revealed that despite his characteristically direct method with employees, President Trump stays extremely approachable.

His openness and transparency imply Leavitt can readily talk with Secretary of State Marco Rubio and other key lawmakers without navigating layers of restricted communication. The interview got here after Trump’s dialog with Levitt at the rescheduled White House Correspondents’ Dinner was revealed by a lip reader.

Trump’s simple strategy to sharing info has made her tasks significantly more manageable, Leavitt told the president’s daughter-in-law.

Leavitt said, “I’ve been in this press world for quite some time. It’s constant, busy, and evolving. It took me some time, days really, to wrap my arms around everything that’s going around here at the White House,” reviews the Irish Star.

“Thankfully, working for the president, people always ask, ‘What’s it like to be his spokesperson?’ He makes it very easy because he tells you like it is.

“And he is so accessible. Not just to me, but to all of his employees right here. I used to be ready to work out what was going on right here in the building,” she continued. “Obviously, I obtain briefings from the Secretary of State and our policy-makers, the legislative affairs staff. They obtained me up to velocity. And now, we’re back at the rostrum,” Leavitt finished.

The interview also marked White House Press Secretary Leavitt’s return to her professional duties following maternity leave.

She welcomed her baby girl, Viviana, on May 1, 2026.

Lara asked, “On top of being a mother, you may have a very demanding job. And I believe a lot of ladies look to you. What is your message to ladies who may look at you and say, ‘Well, perhaps I can have it all.'”

Leavitt responded: “I view this job as public service. Serving the president and our nation, talking on behalf of our nation.”

“It’s momentary. President Trump is only right here in D.C. for 4 years. So it is a small sacrifice in respect to my kids’s total lives, if you’ll. But it does come with a lot of prioritization,” she revealed.

“I attempt to take it at some point at a time. And say, ‘Okay, what time can I carve out for my kids?'” Leavitt continued, adding, “When do they need me?”

“Then perhaps during nap time, I’m placing in the work right here at the workplace. And then, you realize, attempt to get home early when I can.
