Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt is set to welcome her child lady next week, though the White House has not yet revealed who will step into her function while the Trump loyalist cares for her new child.

POLITICO White House Bureau Chief Dasha Burns first reported, with subsequent White House affirmation, that Leavitt will briefly step away from the Trump administration for the delivery, an announcement that got here the day after Christmas. During her absence, no official substitute will probably be named; instead, varied officers will rotate through her tasks.

Burns indicated that Vice President JD Vance, choose Cabinet members, or, doubtlessly, President Donald Trump himself might serve as an interim press secretary for the 28-year-old. Meanwhile, the communications operation will fall under the oversight of Communications Director and White House aide Steven Cheung, supported by Leavitt’s employees: Pat Adams, Anna Kelly, Kush Desai, Abigail Jackson, Liz Huston, Taylor Rogers, Davis Ingle, Allison Schuster, Olivia Wales, Micah Stopperich, Ellie Acra, Georgia O’Neil and Kieghan Nangle.

News of Leavitt’s short-term exit follows her puzzling remarks that she is just not half of the president’s “political team.” Her Wednesday feedback to reporters generated appreciable bewilderment among the press corps. “On the issue of Virginia redistricting, as he weighed in this afternoon, why didn’t he campaign more actively against this referendum?” a reporter requested. “Why not spend time on Truth Social, encouraging people to vote no before the vote?”

Leavitt replied, “That’s a question that’s political by nature. As you know, I’m not part of the president’s political team anymore.” She continued, “I do sit here at the White House as a government employee,” reviews the Irish Star.

“Look, the president has a lot on his plate, a lot on his schedule,” Leavitt famous. “He did host a telephone call prior to the election, the night before, but he’s made his position on the results of this election clear today.”

On a razor’s edge

Leavitt’s exit from the White House arrives as one political skilled indicated that the Trump affiliate is treading on shaky ground with her superior. Political scientist Christopher Lee shared with The Irish Star that Leavitt’s potential dismissal may echo that of former press secretary Sean Spicer.

“When Sean Spicer became the joke, almost from the jump, Trump felt they were laughing at him,” Lee explained. “For Leavitt, the break may already have come. It starts with the Jesus meme where she told Trump to say the photo was ‘doctored’ and Trump said he thought he looked like ‘a doctor’.” Lee supported his analysis by noting that Leavitt has continuously discovered herself defending the president following quite a few Truth Social posts, including one in which he threatened to obliterate Iran. Lee also highlighted the president’s monitor document of “firing disposable staff” while claiming he is merely kidding.

“But look at Trump’s quote on March 31, it’s telling and is part of his MO in firing disposable staff,” Lee said. “It was where he said Leavitt was doing a ‘terrible job’ and claims he was joking when he further asked whether they should ‘keep her’ during a press avail at the White House. Again, while he claims he was joking, he’s made the same joke in the past.”

According to Lee, what’s conserving Leavitt in her place is her confrontational strategy with the press. “However, there is always a breaking point for Trump. People will argue whether that’s because Trump gets bored or until the media pushes back harder making Leavitt, and by extension Trump, look weak, unintelligent and out of her depth. Again, that’s happened already,” he explained.

“And that why my honest opinion is that Leavitt exists on borrowed time,” he completed.
