Good Morning Britain presenter Kate Garraway has switched her wedding ring from her late husband Derek Draper to her proper hand from her left after growing close to a broadcasting buddy. The GMB star, 58, was reported to be growing close to broadcaster Liam Halligan, 56, who said there’s a “definite spark” between the pair.
A spokesperson for Kate told The Sun: “Kate had to remove her rings during a challenge she undertook for Celebrity Traitors and since then wears them on her right hand every day in memory of Derek.” She switched the rings last yr after her “transformative” expertise on the BBC show, helmed by Claudia Winkleman.
Derek died from Covid-19 issues in 2024, after the virus initially left him in a coma and needing round the clock care.
