Kevin O’Leary loses it at fellow CNN guest | TV Shows

Kevin O’Leary slammed a fellow guest on CNN as he lost his cool over their stance on his tariff proposal.

The Shark Tank star was appearing on Laura Coates Live Wednesday after Republican megadonor and Citadel CEO Ken Griffin had slammed President Donald Trump for ruining the American “brand.”

Griffin had also referenced the Euro as he claimed “[the U.S. has] become 20 percent poorer in four weeks.”

Trump incurred historical losses in the markets when he introduced his tariffs and stepped up his trade war with China earlier this month.

However, O’Leary believes the President hasn’t taken it far enough and that China should be more heavily penalised.

Gerber responded: “This isn’t just about China. You’re Canadian. And the Canadians couldn’t be more angry at us. I can tell you this, we’re about to see a dramatic increase in costs across America. Americans have never had things disappearing from the shelves since Covid.”

O’Leary quickly bit back as he clarified his heritage and his position on the issue. He said: “First of all, let’s set the record straight. I have multiple nationalities. My whole family is American. In America, you’re weak when you say we can’t deal with this. Now be strong and get ready for the fight of your life.”

He added: “To settle this issue with China. Cheating, stealing, ripping off American IP. Enough is enough. It’s time to deal with it now. Have some backbone, my friend. Show some strength. That is the American brand. That is the American entrepreneur. You’re weak!”
