Kid Rock has confronted a number of controversies during his music profession and one latest festival disaster has now resurfaced as the future of his upcoming festival hangs in the steadiness.

In 2018, the Detroit rocker was prepared to embark on the “Greatest Show on Earth” enviornment tour – but he did not have permission to use that title.

Feld Entertainment, the longtime house owners of the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus, that coined its well-known tagline, sued both Rock – whose real title is Robert Ritchie – and Live Nation for trademark infringement.

The manufacturing company said the use of their “celebrated and valuable” trademark would lead to trademark dilution, unfair competitors and injury to business popularity.

In his protection, Rock argued he was entitled to use the phrase because it was the title of a track on his 2017 album, Sweet Southern Sugar.

Although a choose discovered that Feld failed to immediately justify a preliminary injunction, citing potential free expression rights, Rock finally rebranded the tour as the “American Rock ‘n’ Roll Tour” to keep away from additional litigation distractions.

The case concluded with a favorable settlement, according to legal counsel, that ended the infringement lawsuit.

The 2018 incident re-emerged amid claims that another stop on the musician’s Rock the Country festival is at risk of being canceled following unimpressive ticket gross sales.

The 55-year-old is set to headline the festival, which was scheduled to function seven exhibits at seven different stops and a quantity of nation artists and other acts.

However, the show has confronted a number of hurdles since being announced, including artists like Ludacris, Morgan Wade, Shinedown and Jelly Roll all pulling out, and dates being canceled because the deliberate lineups fell aside. There have also been points with ticket gross sales.

Now, it seems another stop is at risk of being axed from your entire festival, which has been dubbed as a “MAGA” event, with a small quantity of tickets bought for the deliberate venue.

On Reddit, one individual identified that the stop at The Pavilion at Star Lake in Burgettstown, PA, had bought only 200 tickets for the June 20 show.

The venue options an amphitheater with a capability of over 6,600 seats, according to Live Nation, which means only 3% of seats had been bought.

Another questioned how many occasions those who really loved Rock might actually hear to his songs, writing, “Even if you were a big kid rock fan (weird but this is hypothetical) how many times can you listen to cowboy and bawitaba before it gets old.”

While the show isn’t formally canceled, it no longer seems on the Rock the Country web site’s official lineup, indicating it might have been quietly cut.
