Ace Frehley has been laid to relaxation.
The KISS co-founder and authentic guitarist was buried in New York City on Wednesday during a ceremony attended by his associates, household and former bandmates Gene Simmons, Paul Stanley and Peter Criss.
“Ace Frehley has now been laid to rest in Bronx, NY,” SiriusXM host Eddie Trunk wrote on Instagram following the service. “It has been an emotional couple of days to say the least, saying farewell to a rock icon and long-time friend.”

“All of the services went as well as they could and were attended by a small group of family and close friends, including the 3 surviving original members of Kiss,” he added alongside a pic of Frehley’s memorial card.
Trunk, 61, mentioned the late rocker’s memorial and private funeral additional in a video shared on the social media platform.
“Of course, where he grew up, very close to where his parents were buried, which were his wishes,” the speak show host said relating to Frehley’s choice to be buried in the Bronx.

“It was not a big event by any means,” Trunk continued. “Nothing with fans or anything like that, just a very small private service for Ace. And it was attended by the three surviving members of KISS—Gene, Paul, and Peter.”
The rock icon’s longtime good friend, who said that it was “wonderful to celebrate Ace and remember him and give him a good sendoff,” added that he plans to manage a fan tribute live performance for the guitar legend.
“I think he’d love that and I think he deserves that,” Trunk concluded.

Frehley’s longtime supervisor, John Ostrosky, revealed that the late KISS icon was laid to relaxation at Woodlawn Cemetery.
“We would like to thank Frank Sinatra Jr., Joseph Vivona and the entire staff at Sinatra Memorial Home, as well as Yonkers Mayor Mike Spano, Police Commissioner Christopher Sapienza, Chief Richard Alaimo, as well as the supervisors, officers, and especially the Traffic Division for a safe escort to Woodlawn,” Ostrosky told The Post. “Ace would have loved that!”
The Post has reached out to Simmons and Stanley’s reps for remark.
Frehley handed away in Morristown, NJ, on Oct. 16. He was 74.
Although a trigger of death has not been revealed, his rep, Lori Lousararian, attributed it to a “recent fall at his home.”

“We are completely devastated and heartbroken,” Space Ace’s family members shared in a assertion. “In his last moments, we were fortunate enough to have been able to surround him with loving, caring, peaceful words, thoughts, prayers and intentions as he left this earth.”
“We cherish all of his finest memories, his laughter, and celebrate his strengths and kindness that he bestowed upon others,” they continued. “The magnitude of his passing is of epic proportions, and beyond comprehension.”
Simmons, 76, and Stanley, 73, later paid tribute to their late KISS bandmate in an emotional message of their own.
“We are devastated by the passing of Ace Frehley,” they started. “He was an essential and irreplaceable rock soldier during some of the most formative foundational chapters of the band and its history.”

“He is and will always be a part of KISS’s legacy,” the pair added. “Our thoughts are with Jeanette, Monique and all those who loved him, including our fans around the world.”
Shortly before the news of Frehley’s passing, it was reported that the “New York Groove” artist was positioned on life assist with a mind bleed after a fall he suffered in his studio weeks prior.
Frehley appeared to point out the incident last month when he canceled a efficiency in California due to “a minor fall in his studio” that resulted in a go to to the hospital. He went on to call off the remaining dates of his 2025 tour because of “ongoing medical issues” following the autumn.

Dubbed the Spaceman and Space Ace, Frehley co-founded Kiss alongside Simmons, Stanley and Criss in 1973. Although he departed the band in 1982 to pursue a profitable solo profession, he rejoined KISS for a reunion tour in 1996 and stayed until 2002.
The Rock & Roll Hall of Famers made headlines in August when they had been announced as 2025 Kennedy Center honorees.
“A dream come true that I never thought would materialize,” Frehley told GWN at the time relating to the glory.

Simmons talked about the annual awards ceremony – and how his former bandmate wouldn’t be there to rejoice – during a separate tribute after Frehley’s surprising death.
“Our hearts are broken. Ace has passed on,” he wrote on X last week. “No one can touch Ace’s legacy. I know he loved the fans. He told me many times.”
“Sadder still, Ace didn’t live long enough to be honored at the Kennedy Ctr Honors event in Dec,” Simmons added. “Ace was the eternal rock soldier. Long may his legacy live on!”
