According to Fat Sal’s VP of Operations Josh Cook, the problem dates back to the deli’s opening in 2010. Founders Josh Stone and Sal Capek had been followers of reveals such as “Man v. Food” and “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives” and wished to create an over-the-top problem of their own.
