LIV Golf CEO Scott O’Neil supplied a obscure response when questioned about whether or not he can guarantee the remaining scheduled tournaments will go forward.

LIV Golf is confronting the real prospect of closure after the PIF withdrew funding past the 2026 season. O’Neil is reportedly pursuing $250 million from potential new traders, with a projected profitability timeline of just two years, but the league’s fast future stays unsure.

When CNBC requested if he may guarantee all those occasions will happen, O’Neil offered a non-answer.

“Well, I can say they’ve been terrific partners so far. And you have to take an incredible organization like PIF after word, and they’ve been very public about funding us through the season,” O’Neil said. “So we are full steam ahead.”

“The players are locked in, the management team is locked in, and with advisors like Alex Partners and Gibson Dunn and our new board members, Gene Davis and John Zimmon, to Sarah’s, our lead bank. We’re pretty excited about where we are.

“What I can guarantee is a heck of a return if you come invest in this business.” The questioning followed a Front Office Sports report suggesting the entire schedule could unravel.

“Every remaining event is on the fence,” a senior executive at one of LIV’s major league-level partners told Front Office Sports.

“I actually do not assume anybody is aware of,” the executive continued. “LIV Golf would not know if or when the PIF will shut off the spigot.”

Reports indicate that Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund has injected over $5 billion into the circuit since its inception, though it has since confirmed that 2026 would mark the final season of guaranteed funding.

“We continue to see strong momentum both on and off the course,” O’Neil said in a statement to FOS. “We’ve begun sharing our business plan with potential companions who acknowledge the chance in group golf on a global scale.”
