Liz Marsland had “tears in her eyes” when her husband Kelvin Fletcher revealed the fruits of their labours in the latest episode of Fletcher’s Family Farm.
The in style ITV actuality programme has returned for its third collection in 2025 as Kelvin, Liz and their 4 youngsters enter their fourth yr of farming.
Their idyllic 120-acre patch in the Peak District is already home to a number of animals and can now be employed as a marriage ceremony venue as of this month.
In the latest episode, which aired on Sunday, thirtieth November, Kelvin revealed to Liz that they will now add gin to their growing record of merchandise to promote, if it will get her approval.
“The big reveal, Liz,” Kelvin said to his spouse, presenting containers that had just arrived in the post.
“Last year you surprised me with these blankets you’d been working on. We had the idea of using everything we’ve foraged from the hedgerows, spring water, and curating our own gin.
“Well, it’s here, in bottle form, ready to taste.”
Liz’s eyes widened at the news and exclaimed: “So, you’ve done it?”
Kelvin offered the first bottle of Wincle Peak gin, which is now out there on the Fletcher’s Farm store for followers to buy.
His spouse and business accomplice was clearly impressed as she set free a “Wow”, before noting she appreciated the bottle’s inexperienced design.
“It’s been a long time coming,” Kelvin added, and Liz gave her approval: “I love it.”
After Kelvin read the heartfelt message on the back of the bottle, Liz was left somewhat teary as she reminisced about the household’s story so far.
“You’ve got tears in your eyes,” Kelvin remarked after Liz set free an emotional snigger.
Wiping away a tear, she confessed: “I don’t know whether to laugh or cry, it’s dramatic, init?”
She then quipped: “How many bottles do you need to drink to believe that?”
“We’re actors!” Kelvin said defensively. “It’s all about the messaging.” And Liz reassured him with a pat on the shoulder, saying: “I know.”
“We are a family, we’re not master distillers, we’ve taken ingredients from our little farm in the Peak District and we’ve created a drink, hopefully, for people to enjoy,” Kelvin added.
Taking her first sip of the gin, Liz was left ecstatic as she gave her verdict: “It needs a tonic, but it’s very good!”
Fletcher’s Family Farm continues Sundays at 11:30am on ITV1 and ITVX.
