London Jewelers debuts a Vacheron Constantin…

The world’s oldest watchmaker in steady operation is popping up in the Hamptons.

Vacheron Constantin, the posh horological home based in Geneva, Switzerland, has unveiled a tony space in London Jewelers’ East Hampton boutique. The activation at 2 Main St. will stay open through Sept. 6.

“At London Jewelers, we are always looking for meaningful ways to connect our clients with the world’s most exceptional brands,” says Mark Udell, CEO of London Jewelers, which is celebrating its centenary this yr. “Partnering with Vacheron Constantin for this exclusive Hamptons pop-up allows us to create an immersive experience that celebrates extraordinary design, timeless elegance, and the enduring legacy of one of Switzerland’s most revered watchmakers. We are delighted to welcome clients to discover the Maison in such a distinctive setting throughout the summer season.”

The heritage model – one of the Holy Trinity of Swiss watchmaking alongside Patek Philippe and Audemars Piguet – was based in 1755 by 24-year-old grasp watchmaker Jean-Marc Vacheron. In 1819, a partnership between the grasp watchmaker and founder’s grandson, Jacques Barthélémi Vacheron, and businessman François Constantin, led to the title Maison Vacheron Constantin. In 1880, the Maltese cross turned the official emblem of the home.

Famed for its complicated mechanical innovations, distinctive craftsmanship and refined model, VC watches are rocked by celebrities ranging from Brad Pitt, LeBron James, Tom Cruise and Edward Norton to Jennifer Garner. Historical figures who wore the model embrace Princess Diana – whose magnificent diamond cocktail watch was given to her by Queen Elizabeth II as a 1981 wedding ceremony reward – and Harry Truman.

The pop-up is positioned on the third ground of the store and can be open Thursday through Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm and Sunday from midday. to 5 p.m.
