Shane Lowry confessed to his father that he was satisfied he had missed the essential putt that secured Europe’s Ryder Cup victory in New York.

Lowry described the feeling of sinking the putt that ensured Europe retained the Ryder Cup as surpassing even his Open win in Ireland.
