Maksim Chmerkovskiy hasn’t totally closed the e-book when it comes to Dancing With the Stars, but the Season 18 champ has one particular objective in thoughts if he have been to come back to the competitors sequence.

“They should call and say that they want me to be a judge,” he said.

While sharing that he also thinks the show is implausible and doing nicely, giving credit back to producer Conrad Green for bringing back “old school vibes,” he felt it would be great to add new voices to the judges’ desk.

“I think the addition of my character to that table would bring perspectives that aren’t present, basically, at all,” he said, including that he thinks “I could definitely bring more depth to the project.”

“If somebody calls, I’m in,” he added.

While also admitting that he’s comfortable whether or not the show calls him or not, and that he’d love to be a half of it again, he isn’t sure he would find a way to say yes if they called him asking to come back as a professional once more.

“Honestly, if the show calls me to be a pro, I’m not sure it’s going to be a yes,” he said. “I’ve been giving it a lot of thought…I don’t think that I would accept the position of a pro at this point.”

“It would have to be a very unique and specific reason, and it probably would have to do with who my partner could have been,” he added. “It wouldn’t be about my passion to be a pro on Dancing With the Stars again.”

“I am very passionate for the opportunity to judge. If that’s in the cards, we’ll see what happens.”

Dancing With the Stars is anticipated to return to ABC for a thirty fifth season this fall. The current judges’ panel consists of unique judges Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli, as nicely as fellow former professional Derek Hough.
