Marjorie Taylor Greene spoke out today, just hours after the president referred to her as “Marjorie Traitor Greene.”
The Republican consultant who was once a MAGA fanatic has discovered herself shunned by the president for standing up against some of his latest strikes and insurance policies. Greene spoke to GWN this morning about the public spat with the president and his most hurtful feedback.
“The most hurtful thing he said, which is absolutely untrue, is he called me a traitor,” she said. “That is so extremely wrong.”
“Those are the type of words used that can radicalize people against me and put my life in danger,” she continued.
Far-right activist Laura Loomer hopped on X to be a part of the MAGA supporters turning on Greene, but she insisted that she was years forward of everybody else. Loomer wrote, “President Trump has adopted my 4 year old nickname for MTG. Marjorie Traitor Greene. I’d be lying if I said I’m not loving this.”
After criticizing the federal government’s refusal to deal with the continuing Epstein controversy, Greene discovered herself on the outs.
Donald Trump responded by accusing her of shifting to the “Far Left,” in a Friday post on Truth Social. He added that all he had witnessed from Greene in latest months is “COMPLAIN, COMPLAIN, COMPLAIN!” including, “I can’t take a ranting Lunatic’s call every day.”
The president was beforehand quoted as saying that he would “never ever” need Greene as his enemy. Now, however, he isn’t holding back in his scathing assault, calling her a “disgrace to our GREAT REPUBLICAN PARTY!”
Today, Greene posted on X, saying she had been contacted by personal security companies “with warnings for my safety as a hotbed of threats against me are being fueled and egged on by the most powerful man in the world.”
“I now have a small understanding of the fear and pressure the women, who are victims of Jeffrey Epstein and his cabal, must feel,” she added, doubling down on the precise rhetoric that she claimed has angered the president.
She claimed that the texts she despatched to Trump about the Epstein information “sent him over the edge.”
