Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney has expressed his approval of President Donald Trump’s new pick for the Federal Reserve chair.
The Hill reported that Carney, prior to being elected, served as the governor of the Bank of Canada and the Bank of England, the equal of the Fed Chair. Warsh had beforehand served as a governor on the Federal Reserve Board and was initially employed to review the transparency of the coverage conferences.

“Previously, Kevin was a member of the Mergers and Acquisitions Department at Morgan Stanley and Co., in New York, serving as Vice President and Executive Director,” he added. Carney’s approval of the person comes as tensions between the U.S. and Canada have began to rise.
It was reported that during the World Economic Forum, Carney took a swing at Trump during a speech where he talked about “great powers” who have lately begun utilizing “tariffs as leverage” and that he stood “firmly” with Greenland and Denmark. The blows apparently led Trump to rescind his offer to have Canada be a part of his vaunted Board of Peace.
“Dear Prime Minister Carney,” the president wrote on Truth Social. “Please let this Letter serve to represent that the Board of Peace is withdrawing its invitation to you regarding Canada’s joining, what will be, the most prestigious Board of Leaders ever assembled, at any time.
