BBC drama followers rejoice – followers have been going wild after discovering a “masterpiece” dystopian sequence that’s streaming free on iPlayer. With a lot of followers evaluating it to Hulu’s The Handmaid’s Tale, the sequence is based on a beloved sequence of books and was first tailored for TV back in 2020.
That sequence is Noughts + Crosses, based on the younger grownup dystopian sequence of novels by Malorie Blackman. Starring Jack Rowan, Masali Baduza and Helen Baxendale, the show tells the story of an alternate universe divided by race, where white people are those oppressed. The sequence follows a Romeo and Juliet model forbidden love story between main characters Sephy and Callum, with a lot of high-stakes drama, heartbreak and motion for followers to sink their enamel into.
