“My life turned into the biblical Book of Job,” Nicosia said.
The horrible chain of occasions left him completely lonesome in the Lone Star State by April — and then, to rub it in, his car broke down without hope of restore a month later.
“I really didn’t have anyone I was close with who didn’t live half a country away,” he said.
“And the job hunt was going less than ideal.”

“Going through all of that alone was something I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy.”
