Royal creator Hugo Vickers has criticised Meghan Markle‘s behaviour around the time a gravelly ailing Prince Philip was being launched from hospital. Vickers admitted he can never forgive the Duchess of Sussex, 44, for participating in the bombshell interview with Prince Harry, around the same time the late Prince Philip was dying. The creator appeared on TalkTV following the release of his new e-book on the life of the late Queen Elizabeth II.

Jeremy Kyle highlighted Hugo’s comment in the e-book, where he claims “the distress the Sussexes caused the Queen in her later years cannot in any way be overestimated”. Hugo said: “That’s what I always thought. Prince Harry was doing a very good job in the Commonwealth and it did seem as though Meghan Markle also embraced the Commonwealth, but not for long. It always seemed to me that she had a little plan and she carried out her plan during the lifetime of the Queen.

“The Queen then said to a good friend of hers that Harry had been doing a good job and now all he was was a childminder to his son, Archie. I’ve expressed this barely more unkindly in saying you can’t be Captain General of the Royal Marines if you are mendacity barefoot under a tree in California.

Asked for the Queen’s ideas on Meghan, Hugo explained: “If she had her reservations, they were not expressed. That was one of her great skills, we don’t know what she was thinking which is why we can respect her from every angle we come from.

“Prince Philip used to refer to her as the American, he wasn’t taken in. I do not know if anybody thought that marriage would last.”

Hugo believes there will come a time when Meghan “pushes Harry out”, claiming she did the same with her father, her first husband, her Canadian chef lover and the entire Royal Family.

He went on: “I do not know what more harm she will do to the Royal Family.

“What she did in the Oprah Winfrey interview when Prince Philip was in hospital about to return to Windsor Castle actually to die at the age of 99, I can’t forgive that.”

Jeremy contemplated how the Queen would have felt at that time, including that she did strive with Meghan.

Hugo agreed: “The Queen was always very good when there was a new person in the Royal Family. What was such a pity was the Queen gave Prince Harry and Meghan Markle the entire Commonwealth to explore and they began by doing quite a good job in Australia.

“But then in Africa, she began moaning to Tom Bradbury about her own state when she ought to have been on the market serving to the African people. That did not work at all. It was a great pity that it all went so improper.”
